30 Bizarre Photos That Show The Real Wild West

Due to wagon bandits hiding out all over the landscape, transportation was much more dangerous back in the days of the Wild West. The folks in this wagon in this photo were obviously quite important or rich, as we see numerous armed guards on horseback escorting them through an unforgiving mountain range. Though, as you’ll see in the next entry, some people actually liked the bandits.

While most people were terrified of bandits, this woman was attracted to them. Belle Star was associated with a number of different outlaws. She even married a few of them! This photo was dated back to 1886, which was three years before her mysterious death. We can’t help but think it may have had something to do with her social circle. Just sayin’!

Before the first European settlers arrived in America, Native Americans populated the land. There were tons of different tribes all over the country. Unfortunately, they had much of their land taken from them, often by force. However, some decided to fight hard for their land, like the two in the next entry.
